Meek Mill reveals how his friendship with Drake got better since squashing their beef.
Meek Mill made an appearance on SiriusXM Radio’s Hip Hop Nation, where the Philly native shared details on his current friendship with Drake.
“Me And Drake talking to each other a lot. I see people say stuff about Drake other than this is a drink,” he said. “Somebody was saying ‘Drake [Slime You Out] was corny.’ I [texted Drake]. I was like, ‘I don’t think [Slime You Out] corny and I would tell you if I thought it was corny,'” he added. “I just ain’t think the song was corny. And that was one of the songs we listened to it all the little chicks but on the internet now we got it like that where we could like be brutal.”
“I thought if [Drake thinks] my song corny, he could tell me that, we never was at a space like that before the beef,” he Continued. “And then now we got to a space where we can text each other and say anything.”
“We got that honesty where… we can leave it on the table and we can walk away and feel good about that. And we ain’t had that before the beef.”

Drake and Meek Mill Beef.
The rap beef between Drake and Meek Mill was a highly publicised conflict that started in 2015 and continued for several years. It all started when Meek Mill accused the Toronto rap star of using a ghostwriter named Quentin Miller for his verse on their collab song “R.I.C.O.”. In response, Drake released two diss tracks titled “Charged Up” and “Back to Back”, which not only mocked Meek Mill’s career but also targeted his personal relationships and credibility.
Not one to back down, Meek Mill fired back with his own diss track titled “Wanna Know”. This diss track revealed alleged reference tracks by Drizzy and accused him of being weak and lacking authenticity. The feud intensified as both emcees took subtle jabs at each other through subliminal shots, memes, and public comments for a period of time.
However, the beef eventually squashed in 2018 when Drake and Meek Mill reconciled on stage during one of Drake’s concerts in Boston. The duo even collaborated on a song titled “Going Bad”.
