Jadakiss and Fat Joe goes Sneaker shopping with Complex.
Fat Joe had been in numerous beefs in his career, and according to him, it cost him millions. The rapper, along with his podcast partner Jadakiss, made an appearance on Complex’s Sneaker Shopping, where he revealed losing deals with Air Jordan and Reebok, because of his feud with 50 Cent and Jay-Z in the mid-2000s.
Joe revealed that Michael Jordan declined to do deal with him over rapper’s heated situation with 50 Cent at 2005 MTV VMAs. “Yo, Big Joe, you know, I’m not with controversy. Maybe we look at this in the future,” Jordan told Joe on the phone.
He then revealed failed deal with Reebok, after their team realized he’s in feud with Jay-Z. “Reebok had approached me and was like, ‘Yo, we want to do a sneaker with you for millions.’ I caught the squeeze play cause Hov was over there and 50 Cent,” he reveals. “They shut it down. They was just like, ‘Yo, we won’t do business with you if you give this guy a sneaker.’ That’s part of the karma. It’s part of the ins and outs. I’ve done it to other guys. It came back to me.”
In a previous interview, 50 Cent also stated that he wasted time in beefs with Fat Joe, Cam’ron and others. “Look, I think we wasted too much time arguing, me and Fat Joe, me and Cam’ron,” he said. “There’s other guys like Jada[kiss], we cleared it up easier.” “But we wasted time because it was just the competitive nature. It wasn’t like we crossed paths and had real heat for each other.” “It went on more with Joe because he’s more like me, he’s closer in character to me. When we’re at odds, we are at odds, and we did that for a long time.”
