Bootleg Kev interviews Conway the Machine.
Griselda’s Conway The Machine sat down with Bootleg Kev on his Podcast’s Episode 11 for a new in-depth conversation. In the show, Conway talks about his upcoming two new projects that are expected to release soon, relationship with Kanye West, working with Lil Wayne, battling his issues with alcohol, dealing with trauma through his music, and much more.
Conway The Machine has been maintaining a low profile recently as he prepares for the release of his new album From King To God, but a new interview gives fans more insight into the highly talented MC. During the conversation, La Máquina also revealed that he was robbed after slipping and falling during a tour stop in Atlanta and that he now prepares for anything.
Bootleg also asked the Shady Records artist, how is it to work with Eminem, does he gives any feedback or gives complete freedom. “I really don’t know if I can answer that fully because we haven’t handed in no projects like that,” says Conway. “I’ve played ‘God Don’t Make Mistakes’ for him in Detroit. I went to his studio in Detroit and I played it for him and Paul and he had nothing to say. Everything was like, ‘Yo, this shit is crazy’. I’ve never ever heard any feedback like, ‘Yo, Nah, do this, change that, I think you should rap on this beat, or do this’. Never. So I feel like he wants us to just do what we do.”
Conway’s longtime followers, especially those who listened to the 50 Round Drum mixtape, already know that the Machine can do just about any flow. And he promises to put that skill to the test on FKTG.
Conway isn’t keeping to the traditional Griselda heat of Daringer, Beat Butcha, or Alchemist this round, but electing to experiment with other beatmakers, most notably Havoc of Mobb Deep fame. Conway also received tunes from EPMD icon Erick Sermon and social media sensation Trizzy Tracks, whom he claims he met through Instagram, where he has become a viral sensation.
