Conway The Machine speaks on Eminem’s contribution to his upcoming Shady Records album.
Conway The Machine is finally releasing his long-awaited Shady Records’ debut album “God Don’t Make Mistakes” this week on February 25th. The rapper recent sat down with Bootleg Kev on his podcast for a new interview about his upcoming project.
During the interview, the host asked Conway about Eminem’s input on the album. “None,” he said. “Yeah [Em gives feedbacks]. I went to Detroit and I was in Em’s studio, Em, Paul [Rosenberg], Royce and played them the album front to back and Em f**ked with every record, he was like ‘this is ready to go’. And that’s when he jumped on “Bang“. That was the critique, like ‘yo this sh*t is f**kin amazing,’ This is ready.”
In the interview, the Buffalo native also revealed that he’s no longer in a contractual deal with Griselda or Shady Records. “Yeah, like sitting right here right now, I’m not on a contract with Griselda, Shady none of that sh*t no more,” he added. “It’s free agency right now you heard. I need that supermax man, I need that Giannis [NBA Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo] bag.” “Griselda that’s mine,” he said on Griselda being part of his life. “I put that sh*t on my back. Me and West [Westside Gunn] took that, we built that.”
He also stated that he intends to re-sign with his previous label, despite his desire for a large paycheck. “We haven’t really talked about that who knows, I mean that’s all of our intentions,” Conway The Machine said. “It’s definite mine. But I’m just saying as of right now like it’s the end like you know. The paperwork I signed has been fulfilled it’s been fulfilled. It was all in together, like my Shady paperwork and Griselda paperwork, everything’s been fulfilled. And now it’s time to sit back at the round table and figure out the future is and what it got in store for me.”
