Charlamagne Tha God praises Kodak Black.
Kodak Black is one of the most trending names in hip-hop, but mostly because of controversies than his music. Charlamagne Tha God recently talked about the Florida rapper on his podcast and compared him with Kendrick Lamar.
“Kodak is the GOAT. I was watching that video and I was thinking to myself like, ‘Man, do people realize how dope Kodak Black is? Not just as a personality, but as a rapper, as an artist. You know these true Hip Hop heads will be like ‘Ah, man, you’re talking about Kodak Black,” he said. “I look at Kodak Black the same way I look at Kendrick Lamar. I’m not even joking. I feel like they’re both two different levels of prolific. They’re telling similar stories, just from different places. They’re just two different versions of the same kid from the hood.”

Kodak previously assisted Lamar on multiple tracks on “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers“ album. “Me and Kendrick, we got a lot of little things in common people probably don’t understand,” said Kodak. “Both of us, we Geminis, both of us are Hebrew Israelite. He got a different perception of me. He ain’t cap, when he say we gon’ do something, we do it. Kendrick from the streets for real, too. That boy, I got a lotta love for him.”
Kodak expressed gratitude towards the artist from Compton for including him on several songs from the album “Mr. Morale”. “He puts me on game,” he said. “He genuinely wanna see a ni**a win, for sure. We could have just did the song and it never came out, but he went as far as having me speak on the intro, the interludes and all this other stuff, having me do a poem on there. He already know where my intellect go.
