Birdman claims no one stands a chance against Lil Wayne in a VERZUZ.
Birdman recently sat down with REVOLT’s Big Facts Podcast for a new interview where the Cash Money mogul talks about various topics of his life. The New Orleans rapper talks about Cash Money Records history, rumors, his favorite Atlanta artist, receiving his proper credit, his past issues with Charlamagne Tha God, and more. On the show, he was also asked about VERZUZ battles, and who he thinks has a chance against Lil Wayne.
“Himself, Wayne versus Tunechi,” says Birdman. “He got too much sh*t going on, nobody could touch that. Come on, brother, this is Tunechi. This ni**ga had 100 singles in one year. He passed Elvis in one year. Elvis personally had 101, Wayne did that sh*t in one year. A 100 songs on Billboard, so I don’t think an individual could top that. I’m talking about a 100 hit songs, stands at number 1. The work Wayne put into it, I wouldn’t even play with that sh*t. All you could do is him vs himself. And let them pay both of them.”
Signed to Cash Money as a young person, Lil Wayne was brought as a preteen under Birdman’s wing and was finally a star at the age of 18. After his Hot Boys companions and in-house producer, Mannie Fresh, went out of business. In a new age for Cash Money, Weezy developed into a natural power, unleashing a range of iconic mixtapes and platinum albums which were one of the artist’s most successful races in rap history.

While some people agree with Birdman’s statement, others mention that Drake could be a suitable opponent for Wayne on the VERZUZ stage. Birdman and Lil Wayne recently joined forces for collaboration with Roddy Ricch on the song called “Stunnaman“.
