Here’s how Drake reacted to Adele’s new album.
The English Singer/Songwriter Adele made her long-due return to the music scene last week with the release of her new single “Easy On Me“. The track will appear on her upcoming album “30“, which is her first in 6 years. She recently connected with Capital FM for a virtual video interview. During the show, Adele was asked if she played her new album to anyone, to which she named her good friend Drake.
“I played it to Drake last year when he was in town,” she said. “And I was like ‘is this what people want, or not want?’ And he said ‘absolutely’.”
The “Hello” Singer then revealed that she doesn’t play her music to other artists, but the Toronto Rap Star was an exception. “No, I don’t send it around to various people being like, ‘Can I get your thoughts on this?’” explains Adele. “It’s always just about how it makes me feel. Quality control is my forte. And I can write a song about my own experiences and my own life and stuff like that. People certainly aren’t waiting for a club banger from me. I feel like I’m gonna give people what it is that they’ve been missing while I’ve been away.”
Adele, the multi-grammy-winning singer/songwriter, told Capital Breakfast that when it comes to her work, she values her own opinion the most. “It’s always about how it makes me feel, quality control is my forté, and I can write a song about my own experiences and my own life,” she said. “People certainly aren’t waiting for a club banger from me,”
Last week, When she released her comeback single, Drake showed some love to one of his “best friends” Adele. “One of my best friends in the world just dropped a single,” Drizzy wrote while tagging Adele with a few heart emojis.
