50 Cent responds to T.I. following the latest VERZUZ challenge.
50 Cent recently held a premiere event for his new show “Black Mafia Family” in Atlanta, a star-studded night where T.I. was also among the guests. At the event, Tip gave a live performance of some of his hits, and once again called out 50 Cent for a VERZUZ battle. “Hey 50, we got to do this Verzuz, man,” he said. “Give them what the people want to see, man.”
Even without 50 Cent’s reaction, it was very improbable that he’d ever agreed to enter the ring with anyone. In an interview with The Knockturnal in July, he was asked if that was ever a possibility. “A Verzuz battle? Probably not,” he replied. “We back outside. That was something that happened during the pandemic when we was stuck in the house. Now that we back outside, there’s other things to do. We supposed to be creating new history, not being back there.”
Now 50 Cent took to his social media to respond to T.I., where he addressed Tip’s latest interview on “Big Facts Podcast” in which he talked about his infamous Crime Stoppers commercial.
The commercial aired back in 2007, after which the Hustle Gang boss was accused of being a snitch. At that time T.I. was arrested on gun charges and facing up to 20 years in prison. “People call me Tip, but this is about another tip that can help our mothers, our sisters, our brothers and our fathers help get the perpetrators who commit crimes against them on the street,” he said in the commercial.
In the recent Big Facts Podcast interview, T.I. took shots at everyone who brought up that commercial, including 50 Cent, who shared the ad on his IG last year. “When you’re fighting a man with no arms, expect to get kicked, Ni**as do what they can. I don’t give a f**k, I am at peace with myself. I ain’t got nothing to be ashamed of,” Tip said in the interview.
Now recently, 50 Cent shared the interview part and warned T.I. to stay away from him. “This was a week ago. This ni**a was just telling me about a comedy show he was working on backstage. I don’t like this kinda sh*t, it wouldn’t be a good idea to come around me again. Respectfully stay away from me,” wrote Fifty in the since-deleted post.
The Hustle Gang commander decided to perform the Crime Stoppers advertisement after being jailed on gun charges in 2007 and faced up to 20 years in prison. The video urged residents to join in the fight against crime.
He expressed no remorse when asked about it during a 2020 interview with The Breakfast Club, adding, “I’m not willing to tell on nobody to keep from doing long numbers and to cancel out millions of dollars in my career, but to keep from doing a drop to tell citizens to do what citizens are already able to do, I’m gonna do that every time.”
