In an Interview Session, Big Sean talks about his Performance with Eminem, “I kept fumbling because it was such a moment for me. I had so many things in my head, I couldn’t remember my verse. I couldn’t think of the words, Eminem was there, under the stage, waiting to pop out from underground. I’m just sitting there thinking, ‘Wow, I’m onstage with Royce da 5’9, and Eminem is about to pop up.’ It was a major moment for me. But I executed it in the show perfectly, and that’s what counts,”
The surprise Slim Shady appearance was an uncommon occurrence for Eminem, according to the Detroit Free Press, as the reclusive artist seldom makes onstage cameos. According to the publication, “Detroit vs. Everybody” was launched exactly one year and one week ago and has since become an anthem in the city.
Lil Wayne performed his Dark Sky Paradise feature “Deep” and DJ Khaled’s “How Many Times” with Sean, as well as “A Milli” and other solo tunes, at Big Sean’s homecoming “Finding Paradise” show, which was his first in Detroit in almost two years.
