In the new video, we can see Kendrick Lamar face swaps with Kanye West, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, Nipsey Hussle & more.
The verses frequently match to the figure he’s emulating, with West describing mental disease and the late Hussle discussing murder. It begins with the following phrase claimed to Oklama: “I am. All of us.
Beach Noise, the production and songwriting trio of Matt Schaeffer, Johnny Kosich, and Jake Kosich, whose previous production credits include many tracks by Baby Keem, produced the song. Kyle Miller and Bekon both provide instrumentals to “Part 5”. It looks to be a sample of Marvin Gaye’s “I Want You.”
As the title indicates, “Part 5” is the newest instalment in his long-running “The Heart” singles series. The songs have always appeared prior to the release of a big project.
It comes after Lamar’s appearance at the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI halftime show in February. The rapper performed on stage with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige. Lamar collaborated with Busta Rhymes on the new song “Look Over Your Shoulder” in October 2020, and he later performed on Baby Keem’s “Range Brothers” and “Family Ties.” “Family Ties” went on to win the Grammy for Best Rap Performance in 2022.
The Heart Pt. 5 is produced by Beach Noise
