Tom MacDonald drops a new song “Dummies”.
After giving us “Brainwashed” earlier this month, Tom MacDonald is back with another new offering as he releases a new single called “Dummies“. The self-produced track comes along with an official video, which is directed by his girlfriend Nova Rockafellar. In the song, he touches on topics like sexism, homophobia, racism, cancel culture, and more.
“I love the Earth, but I don’t really wanna save it
Everything is sexist, homophobic or it’s racist
When life gives us lemons, we’re supposed to wanna change it
But my generation rather take some pills and escape it,” he raps.
Along those lines, the major focus of this piece appears to revolve on Tom once again, similar to his temperament in songs like Snowflakes, in which he attacks ‘woke’ and politically correct ideas. He criticizes them for generating persons with a less-than-ideal and pacified grasp on reality – or “dummies,” as he refers to them this time. Rapper calls into question the fundamental fabric of modern mainstream Western (i.e. American) society.
