Nicki Minaj connects with Lil Baby for “Bussin”.
Following an announcement earlier this week, Nicki Minaj again teams up with hitmaker Lil Baby for a brand new single called “Bussin”. It is their back to back collaborations after last week’s hit offering “Do We Have A Problem?“. The previous single was released with a music video, starring Joseph Sikora.
“I call Baby, “Yo, where that stick at?” / Tell them boys come get his sh*t back / If they act up, we gon’ fix that / My new ni**a ain’t with that chit chat,” she raps.
In a recent interview, Nicki Minaj revealed that Lil Baby outrapped her on their new collab. “First of all, I want to just say shout out to Lil Baby,” she said. “You know what? listen… Y’all know I always keep it real about verses and all of that. Lil Baby, he might have got me.”
Since the release of her 2021 mixtape, “Beam Me Up Scotty,” Nicki Minaj’s most recent performances with Lil Baby mark the latter’s first new work. Earlier this month, Minaj said she would keep making music as long as she wanted, with the intention of leaving the business only when she felt it was the appropriate time.
To commemorate the debut of her first song of the year, Jayda Cheaves and the rapper made a commitment to always “keep on putting out music” during an Insta Live session “I will never leave the game until I wanna leave it,” she said.
Nicki Minaj is releasing these singles in anticipation of a new project. She said her second album is on the way during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1’s New Music Daily broadcast. “So the album is coming very soon, obviously,” she said. “That’s why I started putting out music. Like I said before, from now on, every Friday, it will be called Pink Friday. I do have a lot of surprises lined up for the fans leading up to the album, but we want to definitely get the album out there quickly. I will say that. I would like to give them a taste of a little bit more music before the album comes out, but we think that it’s time.”
