Lupe Fiasco drops a new song “Big Energy”.
Lupe Fiasco has been honing his poetic skills by posting a slew of freestyles on YouTube in recent weeks, including a reimagining of Drake’s Certified Lover Boy opener “Champagne Poetry,” renamed “Diet Soda Poetry.”
After an announcement yesterday, a new Lupe Fiasco song was released today which is titled “Big Energy“. The track is off the soundtrack of “The One and Only Dick Gregory” film which was released a couple of months ago. The Documentary film also stars Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, and more.
In the song, Lupe Fiasco pays homage to Dick Gregory, the comedian, civil rights, and vegetarian activist who passed away in 2017.
Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor album recently reached a double milestone, and “Big Energy” follows suit. The Chi-Town MC revealed on Wednesday (September 22) that his critically praised debut album has finally been certified gold, indicating at least 500,000 sales in the United States.
