Freddie Gibbs shares a new track “Dark Hearted”.
Following the release of “Too Much” with Moneybagg Yo earlier this month, Freddie Gibbs continues putting out new music as he now releases another new track “Dark Hearted”.
The song is produced by James Blake, and it the latest offering off his upcoming new album “Soul Sold Separately” which is slated to drop on September 30. The album will feature Offset, Rick Ross, Pusha T, Raekwon, Anderson .Paak and more.
“Bulletproof my sh*t, they might hit it, bi**h, I’m the Murder Man / Dead ni**a put his hands on me / I might pop another bottle and pour one out for your dead homie,” he raps.
After revealing the song, Gibbs released the “Too Much” music video, starring Moneybagg Yo. The song gave us our first listen to his fifth studio album and adopted a more broadcast-friendly tone than “Dark Hearted.” It will be his first release on a big label, around two years after he committed to a contract with Warner Records. The 40-year-old’s “refusal to sacrifice his values or ethics under the constraints of the profession,” as stated in the press release for Soul Sold Separately, is referenced in the title.
