Lil Durk shares a visual for “Broadway Girls” with Morgan Wallen.
Following the release of “Lion Eyes” last month, Lil Durk continues putting out new material as he connects with Tenessee’s country music singer Morgan Wallen for a new collaboration “Broadway Girls”. The track is produced by Joe Reeves & Charlie Handsome, and is expected to appear on Durkio’s upcoming album “7220”.
Throughout the weeks that the two have been teasing the song on social media, Lil Durk has acknowledged that he is a fan of Wallen. Although the cooperation might seem strange on paper, it makes sense for a variety of different reasons. Durk may benefit greatly from collaborating with singer Morgan Wallen because her album has the most year-to-date sales total. And Wallen has to win back support after controversially using the n-word in an outburst outside his house earlier this year that was caught on camera by TMZ photographers.
The video has received approximately 70,000 views in the first few hours and hundreds of positive comments. “This is like when Hulk Hogan and Macho Man teamed together brother,” one commenter said. Others said, “If Durk doesn’t win a few awards for this, I’m not taking them seriously anymore since this song touched on every cylinder,” and “Morgan Wallen crushed that.”
Today, the duo also gives a video treatment to the new song. Recently, Lil Durk also assisted Joyner Lucas on the track called “Rambo“.
