Dave East shares the new song “Damn” for Godfather of Harlem.
Dave East returns with some new music as he contributes to “Godfather of Harlem” season 3 with a new song “Damn”. The track is produced by Mike & Keys & DJ Khalil, and the soundtrack is executive produced by Swizz Beatz. This follows up on last week’s “Hustle, Repeat” by Jadakiss.
“I done seen some things that made me question life for the rest of life / Like all you sacrificed, rolling the dice, now you upset with life / Now they jealous, no umbrellas, I walked through that rain myself,” he raps.
Last month, Dave East teamed up with DJ Drama for a new Gangsta Grillz album called “Book Of David“. The project was produced by Buda & Grandz with narration from DJ Drama.
“Godfather of Harlem” is a television series that tells the story of Bumpy Johnson, a notorious criminal leader who once held significant power in the streets of Harlem. After spending a decade in prison, he returns to find that his neighborhood has fallen into disarray and is now controlled by an Italian mafia. Throughout the show, the character of Bumpy Johnson, portrayed by Forest Whitaker, embarks on a mission to regain his position of authority.
