DaniLeigh has been officially booked for assaulting DaBaby.
DaniLeigh has released “Dead to Me,” an alleged diss track to DaBaby. On Tuesday, the R&B artist posted her kiss-off tune via her YouTube page (May 10). DaniLeigh refers to the North Carolina rapper as “triflin'” in the song and declares that their “toxic” relationship is now finished. According to the 27-year-old Def Jam musician, even her family had concerns with DaBaby.
“Momma never liked your a*s (on God)/Brother wanna fight your a*s (so bad)/Daddy hated your triflin’ a*s/My dog wants to bite yo a*s,” she croons. “‘Cause you are dead to me/Yeah, yeah, yeah/Yeah, you are so dead to me, baby.
DaBaby and DaniLeigh, an American singer, were originally linked in March 2020, when the rapper appeared in her music video for their duet ‘Levi High.’ The duo rejected the rumors but were linked again after being seen at the same West Hollywood hotel in quarantined.
Around this time, DaniLeigh and the mother of DaBaby’s child, MeMe, got into an online argument. DaniLeigh was labeled “obsessed” by MeMe, who accused her of blocking her, and the two exchanged a series of shady sub-tweets. DaBaby and DaniLeigh parted up towards the end of January 2021, just a few months after coming public with their long-rumoured love.
Their domestic quarrel eventually progressed to name-calling, with Dani accusing DaBaby, “You’re a f**king dog. Acting like you’re such a good-a*s father. You’re not.” by DaBaby. DaniLeigh was eventually charged with two simple assaults as a result of their verbal argument.
