50 Cent releases “Wish Me Luck” with Snoop Dogg, Moneybagg Yo & Charlie Wilson.
50 Cent makes his return to the music scene as the POWER mogul drops a new song called “Wish Me Luck“. The track is the theme song of his new show “BMF” and it features assistance from Snoop Dogg, Moneybagg Yo, and Charlie Wilson.
The G-Unit mogul discussed the series, why we should be enthusiastic about it, and most importantly, the music accompanying the series in a new interview with his own site Thisis50.
The upcoming 50 Cent show “BMF” is inspired by the true story of two brothers, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who rose from the streets of Southwest Detroit in the late 1980s. The show will premiere on Starz on September 26th.
Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., his real-life son, will play “Big Meech.” Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, and Michole Briana White also appear in “BMF.” Snoop Dogg, La La Anthony, and Serayah will return as regular guests, with Eminem making a special appearance.
The music of “Wish Me Luck” wonderfully combines mafia, western, and hip-hop themes. Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and MoneyBagg Yo rap over it about their mafia, street-certified, and water-whipping ways. Charlie Wilson, on the other hand, comes out as a crooner who is far too reliant on luck. What You like about the song is that it contains four different types of hustlers: a southern hustler (MoneyBagg), a shady hustler (Snoop Dogg), a gritty hustler (50 Cent), and an old hustler (Elvis Presley) (Sorry, Uncle Charlie).
The show will also feature cameos from Snoop Dogg, as well as the legendary Eminem. Eminem will appear in one episode where he plays the role of “White Boy Rick”. “I’m honored and appreciative of my good friend Em for supporting my new show ‘BMF,’” 50 Cent said in a statement. “We couldn’t do a show based in Detroit without incorporating the legend that is Eminem.”
