Nas drops his new album “King’s Disease II” feat Ms. Lauryn Hill, Eminem, and more.
Following a surprise announcement last week, Nas has dropped his brand new fourteenth studio album called “King’s Disease II“. The project which comes through his label Mass Appeal is executive produced by Hit-Boy. It is a sequel and follows up to Nas’ last year’s album, which earned him his first-ever Grammy, at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
The new album, features a pack of 15 tracks, with some incredible guest appearances. Nas joined forces with the legendary Eminem for the first time on the song called “EPMD 2“, which also features hip-hop duo EPMD. Other major guest appearance is from Ms. Lauryn Hill, who assists Nas on the track called “Nobody”, delivering her first rap stanza in what feels like an eternity. “My awareness, like Keanu in The Matrix/ I’m saving souls, and y’all moan about my lateness,” she says, plainly irritated by anyone placing expectations on her.
The project features additional guest appearances from A Boogie wit da Hoodie, YG, Charlie Wilson, and Blxst. Nas’s 15th top 10 album, King’s Disease II, opened at number three on the US Billboard 200, marking his highest-charting album in nine years. The album also debuted at number one on both the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and US Top Rap Albums charts in its first week of release, selling 56,000 total album-equivalent units. The first-week sales of King’s Disease II surpassed those of its predecessor, which opened at number five on the Billboard 200 with nearly 47,000 copies sold.
