Migos drops their new album “CULTURE II”.
The trio of Migos returns with their new project as they release their much-anticipated album “CULTURE II” which is the sequel to their last year’s project. The new album contains 24 new tracks with guest appearances from Drake, Post Malone, Big Sean, 21 Savage, Ty Dolla Sign, Travis Scott, Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and many more.
Culture II contains prior songs “Stir Fry,” produced by Pharrell, and “Motor Sport,” featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, and follows up on last year’s massively Popular Culture, which was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
Since the publication of ‘Culture II,’ the band has promised a third installment in the ‘Culture’ series. However, their expected fourth studio album was not released in 2020, and Quavo stated in May that Migos’ next studio album would not be titled “Culture III.”
In its first week, Culture II opened at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 199,000 album-equivalent units, 38,000 of which were pure album sales. It’s Migos’ second number-one album in the United States. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified Culture II double platinum on December 14, 2018, for a total of two million copies in sales, streaming, and track sales.
Culture II was the tenth most popular album of the year on the Billboard 200 in 2018. By the end of 2018, the album has sold over 1,599,000 album-equivalent units in the United States, with over 115,000 of those sales being pure sales.
