Meek Mill drops his new album “Expensive Pain.”
After an announcement a couple of weeks ago, Meek Mill has released his brand new album called “Expensive Pain”. The fifth studio album from the Philadelphia rapper is a follow-up to his 2018’s project “Championships.”
Recently, he promoted the project by popping up the Album Artwork on Buses, Billboards, Trains, Boats, and more in different cities including Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and more. The Cover Art is created from an original painting by the artist Nina Chanel Abney.

The album contains 17 tracks, including the previously released singles “Sharing Locations” with Lil Baby & Lil Durk, “Blue Notes” with Lil Uzi Vert. The additional guest appearances come from Kehlani on “Ride 4 U”, Young Thug on “We Slide”, Vory on “Tweakin” and Brent Faiyaz on “Halo”.
Upon its release, Expensive Pain debuted at the third spot on the US Billboard 200 chart, with a total of 95,000 units (including 10,000 in pure album sales) sold in its opening week. This marked Meek Mill’s fifth album to debut within the top ten of the chart. Additionally, the album generated 110.53 million on-demand streams from its tracks. In the following week, the album experienced a slight decline, falling to number four on the chart, and selling an additional 46,000 units.
Meek Mill was recently presented with the Nelson Mandela Changemaker Award last month, which recognized his generosity and humanitarian work with REFORM Alliance. Michael Rubin, Meek’s buddy, and Philadelphia 76ers teammate serves as the organization’s co-chair.
