Big Sean Celebrates Finally Famous 10th Anniversary with New Song Freshman 10

Big Sean drops a new song “Freshman 10”.

In a few days, Big Sean‘s debut album “Finally Famous” will mark the 10th anniversary of the project which debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200. Big Sean decided to celebrate the milestone with the release of a deluxe edition that features the remastered version of the songs.

The project also features an unreleased song called “Freshman 10” where he reflects on the 2010 XXL Freshman Class. The Cover featured Sean Don along with the likes of Nipsey Hussle, Wiz Khalifa, Freddie Gibbs, Jay Rock, and J. Cole.

The 10th Anniversary deluxe edition remixed and remastered “Finally Famous” features Chris Brown, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, John Legend, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Pusha T, and more.

Sean, who got praise for his recent release, Detroit 2, which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 in 2020, his third consecutive album to do so, also confirmed plans to release new songs this year, finishing with, “I know that yesterday’s stats don’t win today’s games, so I’m excited for the new music we got coming too.”

Recently, the Finally Famous rapper appeared on Ebro Darden’s show to discuss the significance of mental health education for youngsters.“It really needs to be just like how they teach us about STDs and s*x in health class,” Sean Don said. “They need to make sure they teach us about how to deal with anxiety or how to breathe properly and all of that. It all should be together because it’s all connected. It’s not like the head is separate from anything, it’s all together.”

Sean noted that his mother urged him to use his platform for more than simply music after his personal problems with mental health “She sees the stuff that I have applied to my everyday life that helps me get through and helps me stay productive, stay inspired, stay active,” he said to Darden. “Some of the stuff she’s taught me, some of the stuff I’ve learned on my own. But she was just like, ‘Yo, you gotta put people onto this, you gotta use your platform for not just music and all of that.’ She kept bugging me about it, it just made me be like, ‘Let’s just do it. Might as well just put the information out there for the people that can use it.’”
