Big Sean’s “Detroit” mixtape is now available on DSPs.
On September 5, Big Sean‘s critically acclaimed fourth mixtape “Detroit” turned 10, and the rapper decided to celebrate the occasion by releasing the project on all streaming platforms.
The project was released in 2012 through Sean’s former label G.O.O.D. Music, and featured guest appearances from J. Cole, Juicy J, King Chip, French Montana, Royce da 5’9″, Kendrick Lamar, Jhene Aiko, Chris Brown and more. The production was handled by Hit-Boy, Da Internz, 808 Mafia’s own producers Lex Luger, Southside, KeY Wane and others. The tape now comes with an additional unreleased track titled “More Thoughts”, which was recorded in 2019.
“10 years since i dropped this baby n it’s finally available on all platforms + the song “More Thoughts”. What a journey it’s been already, cant thank y’all enough,” he wrote.
The rapper from California has already resurrected a few of his earlier material. The “Guap” musician debuted a remixed and remastered version of the CD last year, marking the 10-year anniversary of Finally Famous. It featured the previously unheard “Freshman 10,” which details his experiences during the 2010 XXL Freshman Class photoshoot.
