Joey Bada$$ was busy working on his new Project “B4.DA.$$” and now he Revealed the Release Date of the upcoming Debut Album with a Trailer. Joey Bada$$ Reveals that his Debut Album will Release on his Birthday January 20, 2014.
On April 7th, All-Amerikkkan B4.Da.$$ will be released. The artwork for the album, as well as a small teaser video, were unveiled in a series of tweets by the Brooklyn-born rapper yesterday, March 2.
The title alludes to Ice Cube’s AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted as well as Joey’s close collaborator Capital Steez’s 2012 mixtape AmeriKKKan Korruption. Joey’s second album, AABA, will be released two years after his debut, B4.Da.$$.
Joey Bada$$ also Released an Album Trailer with a Message for the Fans Which says “P.eace young world this is the Badmon Jozif and I just want to thank all of my supporters and fans for being so patient with me as I finished my first album. The wait is finally almost over and the release date is locked and loaded. After discovering my birthday falls on a Tuesday (the day of the week all albums drop) next year I decided to save the album drop for then (1.20.15). I thought it was the best time to cause a shift. It’s always been a goal of mine to drop a project on my birthday and the premonition has finally come into fruition. The number 120 is very unique and symbolic to me as well. Rik Codero directed the album’s trailer, which is a Brooklyn reinterpretation of Forrest Gump’s opening moment, as the camera follows the white feather down to Forrest’s feet. Here’s where you can see the trailer:
