Eminem's 'Revival' Debuts at Number 1 on Billboard, Becomes First Artist with 8th Consecutive Number 1 Album Debuts

Eminem’s ‘Revival’ debuts at Number 1 on Billboard 200.

Eminem’s latest album ‘Revival‘ releases earlier this month with 267k moved in the first week (197k from pure sales). “Revival” numbers are the lowest first-week total of his major-label career but it’s still managed to debut at number 1 on Billboard 200 Chart. It’s his 8th consecutive album to debut at number 1 in the first week. Eminem is the first artist to achieve this feat.

Eminem’s previous albums which debuted at number 1 are MMLP 2 (2013), Recovery (2010), Relapse (2009), Curtain Call: The Hits (2005), Encore (2004), The Eminem Show (2002) and The Marshall Mathers LP (2000).

The track “Walk on Water,” featuring Beyoncé, was the album’s breakout smash, peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 list (making it Eminem’s 37th top 40 hits). The album’s second A-list duet, “River,” starring Ed Sheeran, is slated to premiere on the Billboard Hot 100 next week.
