Eminem Talked About A Bunch Of His Famous Tracks On Genius

Eminem Annotated his Many Biggest Hits on Genius.

Artists like Nas, Rick Rubin, The Dream, and more have Annotated their work before on Lyrics Site Genius, which was previously known as Rap Genius, and Detroit Rapper Marshall Mathers also joined the list and Talks about the stories behind his 42 hit tracks on the site. Apart from Annotating his work, Eminem also gets verified on Genius.

Eminem has announced a deal with lyric and annotation site Genius, which will entail participation on Eminem.com as well as work with the label Shady Records. “Search Genius for the lyrics to any song and click highlighted lines to learn more about them. (Our community has annotated all of Kanye and Kendrick, but also Hamlet, TV, and movie scripts, Kurt Cobain’s suicide note, and even the Chipotle menu…),” adding “add context, commentary, gifs, or whatever you think will help other people understand them better.” Eminem Said.

A lot of time when I writing songs, I see visions of everything I’m writing, This was one of those“.

On talking about his Academy Award-winning track “Lose Yourself“, which featured in his Movie 8 Mile, Marshall Says, “When we were making 8 mile, I was revisiting the old CD from two years before, going through old loops. I found the ‘Lose Yourself’ demo on this session where me and jeff brass were just making beats. Jeff was just sitting on those guitar chords and then it went into something different. I was like, ‘Yo, that section, right there, I gotta make a beat out of that,’ I recorded the demo version of it on the same day I made the beat. I didn’t like the Rhyme, and put it off to the side“.
