Drake Becomes First Artist To Cross 50 Billion Streams

Drake becomes the first artist to cross 50 billion streams.

Drake has been breaking several records every year and he continues smashing many records with his latest album ‘Scorpion‘. The album is at the number 1 spot for the fifth straight week on the Billboard 200 chart and his hit single ‘In My Feelings‘ has been at the number 1 for four weeks now.

According to his label Republic Records, Drake has broken another streaming record and he’s the first artist to do it. He has surpassed the 50 billion stream across all global streaming platforms.

It is difficult to independently verify the overall number of streams. Drake has exceeded 10 billion lifetime streams, according to Apple, who announced the milestone in an Instagram post last month. According to industry insiders, Spotify’s total amount of chart-eligible streams may approach 13 billion. However, if additional services not listed for chart reasons are included, the total might be significantly greater. Given his recent record-breaking performance, some observers may argue that even 50 billion dollars is too low.
