August Alsina drops the ‘Nunya’ remix.
After giving us the ‘Forever And A Day‘ EP last month, August Alsina continues releasing new material as he returns with a new remix over Kehlani’s song ‘Nunya‘.
August Alsina has released a remix of Kehlani’s song “Nunya,” along with a music video depicting his relationship with a woman who has rejected him but is still keeping tabs on his sex life.
The R&B singer sings about a previous lover who didn’t realize what she had until it was taken away from her. “Putting on a show / ‘Cause you don’t want the world to know / That you lost a man who loved you all along,” he sings.
On Kehlani’s mixtape While We Wait, which also includes 6LACK and Ty Dolla $ign, the Hit-Boy-produced “Nunya” featuring Dom Kennedy can be found. August and the new mom have considered collaborating in the past.“Let’s build loved one! &create vibes for the universe. A.k.A F**K Sht Up!” he tweeted. “I’m right’chea when ready.”
Alsina’s animoji head converses with another animoji female head named Koren, which also happens to be Jada Pinkett Smith’s middle name, in the song’s lyric video. During the conversation, Alsina also uses a GIF of the actress while crooning lyrics about…an actress. Since then, fans have speculated that the lyrics refer to his rumored affair with Will Smith’s wife. Speculation has recently surfaced that the woman Alsina is referring to is none other than Jada Pinkett Smith, with whom the singer has had a long-standing relationship.
Last year, Alsina appeared on Jada’s “Red Table Talk” and shared his personal experiences with addiction and the support he received from the Smith family during a challenging time. Jada also opened up about her struggles with s*x addiction during the conversation.
