Yelawolf teamed up with Eminem for “Best Friend”.
Yelawolf has dropped the much-awaited track titled “Best Friend” which features Eminem. The track will appear on Yelawolf’s upcoming album Love Story due to release on April 21st. Check out the track below and pre-order “Love Story” on iTunes here.
The two rappers tackle complex issues like the relationship between heaven and hell and the loss of close friends. The Alabama rapper begins the song by mentioning God and the church several times. Eminem raps about himself in brutally honest songs and pays tribute to his late friend Proof. On April 11, 2006, the Detroit rapper Proof, one of Eminem’s closest friends, was fatally shot at a nightclub, over nine years after we first heard this song.
“Who you think I’m talking bout?/ Lifts me up when I’m down and out,” Em raps, “Still look to him without a doubt, still got a best friend.”
