Nas releases a short film ‘NASIR’.
Nas returns with some new material as he dropped a short film titled after his 11th studio album ‘NASIR‘. The film shows social issues currently and historically involving his local community of Queen,s New York, like racism and police brutality, and more.
Apart from the music, NASIR raises awareness of social and economic issues affecting the Queens neighborhood, including racism and police brutality, which are regularly highlighted on the project. The film is around 16 minutes long.
Nas is now working on the sequel to Nasir. Nas confirmed that he had been in the studio with Swizz Beatz and RZA during an iHeartRadio interview with Angie Martinez in July. “It’s another album that I already had been working on before [Nasir],” he said. “Since I did this, I gotta do something that, you know, goes in another direction a little bit. So I’m finishing up the next one.”
