Fresh off from his powerful headlining performance in Coachella 2017, Kendrick Back with a new music video for “DNA”. The music video appeared on his latest released project DAMN. The music production of “DNA” is executed by Mike WiLL Made-It. The music video also features an appearance from Don Cheadle and ScHoolboy Q.
Cheadle plays a merciless interrogator going for Lamar, who is shackled and linked up to a lie detector equipment in the Nabil-directed short. However, when Cheadle turns on the gadget, he gets blasted with Lamar’s life energy and begins spewing the vicious, Geraldo Rivera-dispelling Damn. track.
Lamar and Cheadle start spitting bars at one other and mirroring each other’s moves until Cheadle gives in and lets Lamar go. On the outside, Kung Fu Kenny dices with his guys and spits the remainder of “DNA.” with venom.
DAMN. features Rihanna, U2, and the newly exposed producer Bekon, as well as the tracks “HUMBLE.,” and “FEAR.,” as well as appearances from Rihanna, U2, and the recently unmasked producer Bekon. Kendrick’s first full album after To Pimp a Butterfly was released in 2015 is DAMN. Untitled unmastered.**, a compilation of demos and outtakes from the TPAB sessions, was released last year.
