Kendrick Lamar and SZA connected for the “Luther” video.

Kendrick Lamar is back with surprise new material as he teams up with his go to collaborator SZA for the music video of their hit “Luther.” The music video is directed by Karena Evans, who previously did visuals for Drake’s “God’s Plan,” “Nice for What” and “In My Feelings” and “I’m Upset.”

“Hey, Roman numeral seven, bae, drop it like it’s hot / If this world was mine, I’d take your dreams and make ’em multiply / If this world was mine, I’d take your enemies in front of God / Introduce ’em to that light, hit them strictly with that fire,” raps K. Dot.

The song was released as third single from Lamar’s sixth studio album, GNX last year. The single topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was also performed at Super Bowl LIX halftime show on February 9, 2025.

Next week, Lamar and SZA will also kick off their joint Grand National Tour on April 19 in Minneapolis, MN, which will conclude on June 18 in Landover, MD.
