Travis Scott & Pop Smoke drops ‘GATTI’ video. Watch now.
After the visual for ‘JACK BOYS/GANG GANG‘, Travis Scott continues releasing new material as he teams up with Pop Smoke for the official visual for their song called ‘GATTI‘. The track appeared on new Travis Scott & Cactus Jack Label’s ‘Jack Boys‘ compilation album.
Scott’s Cactus Jack labelmates Sheck Wes and Don Toliver worked on “Gatti” on Scott’s No. 1 Billboard 200 project Jackboys late last year. Pop Smoke, whose actual name is Bashar Barakah Jackson, collaborated with Scott and the rest of the crew on “Gatti,” which reached No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the week of January 11 and marked the young rapper’s maiden Hot 100 appearance.
Travis Scott chose to celebrate Pop Smoke’s legacy by releasing one of the Brooklyn drill rapper’s unreleased songs after the rapper was assassinated at the age of 20 during a home invasion robbery in the Hollywood Hills earlier Wednesday morning (Feb. 19).
The video, which follows the two rappers as they cruise around, has a dark and lo-fi feel to it. The “GATTI” video was directed by Cactus Jack and White Trash Tyler, same like the previous two clips. According to Scott’s Instagram photo, Travis and Pop Smoke are seen travelling around in a new Bugatti Chiron, possibly grabbing lunch. AXL Beats and 808Melo produced the drill-inspired single, which brought the project to a dramatic close.
