SZA, The Weeknd & Travis Scott drops ‘Power is Power’.
Earlier this month, HBO revealed that new music from ASAP Rocky, Lil Peep, SZA, The Weeknd, Joey Badass, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla Sign will feature on the soundtrack to Game of Thrones Season 8 which premiered last week. The first of the Soundtrack is here which is a collaboration of SZA, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott and it is called ‘Power is Power‘.
The Weeknd impersonates Jon Snow, SZA impersonates Daenerys, and Scott sits atop the Iron Throne while important Game of Thrones events play in the background.
For the Throne includes new songs from Mumford & Sons, the National, Rosalia, Maren Morris, Ellie Goulding, A$AP Rocky, and others.
Following the release of “For the Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones),” Columbia Records and HBO unveiled the official music video for the album’s lead track “Power Is Power” by SZA, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott on Sunday morning. The video, directed by Anthony Mandler and shot in Los Angeles, is perhaps most notable for the artists, dressed in show-inspired outfits, stalking or writhing around show-inspired sets (Scott’s setting is actually low-key compared to his concert staging), with dragons and the Night King looming in the background.
