New Video Pink Featuring Eminem - Revenge

Pink drops video for “Revenge” Featuring Eminem lookalikes.

Pink and Eminem collaborated on a song named “Revenge” in 2017, which was their third song together altogether. Pink’s “Beautiful Trauma” album featured the song as the second single. The music video for the track, which features singer Pink with Eminem’s role portrayed by look-alikes in the video, was released online today as a surprise. Pink, Eminem, Max Martin, and Shellback collaborated on the song, which was produced by Martin and Shellback.

During the release of the song, Pink revealed that a lot of wine led to her collaboration with the Detroit rapper. “I reached out to him in this case,” Pink said. “I love him. I’ve always loved him. I think he’s a lyrical genius, and I just wrote him a love letter. I had written this song. I had went to the studio and drank a lot of wine, I wrote ‘Revenge.’

And then, I went home and drank more wine because that’s what you do when you’ve already drank a lot of wine, you think more wine is a good idea, and I wrote him an email and I said, ‘I love you. I’ve always loved you. I’ve loved you since you gave me your autograph at the 2001 MTV Music Video Awards. I love that you always work with the same people.’ I just wrote this love letter, and he just wrote back, ‘OK.’

Kirill and Philipp Revega, Russian actors, spoke about their role in Pink’s video for “Revenge,” her collaboration with Eminem. They claimed to be Eminem’s doppelgängers, but the narrative of the video was unclear because they were simply recording their sections.

Obviously, it was meant to be a dark, even supernatural narrative, but we’ll never know the specifics. “We shot it, and it was awful. Pink confirmed to The Sun that it will never be released. “It just didn’t work and it was the wrong timing for it.”

According to Nielsen SoundScan, Beautiful Trauma opened atop the US Billboard 200 with sales of 408,000 album-equivalent units, of which 384,000 were pure sales. Pink’s second consecutive number-one album on the Billboard 200 chart. Her tour audience assisted sales, as the cost of the album was included in the price of a tour ticket for US and Canadian events. Beautiful Trauma was only counted towards the album’s sales after it was redeemed.

Beautiful Trauma finished the year as the seventh best-selling album in the United States, with 628,000 copies sold. The album climbed 81 spots on the Billboard 200 from 83 to 2 in the week of May 17, 2018, with sales of 139,000 units, including 135,000 copies. The rise in sales was attributed to the redemption of album-ticket bundles issued with Pink’s second US tour leg.

Eminem and Pink previously collaborated on “Won’t Back Down”, which appeared on the Detroit rapper’s seventh studio album “Recovery” in 2010. The song reached its highest position on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number 62 on the chart for the week ending July 10, 2010. In 2017, the duo again joined forces on the song titled “Need Me”, which appeared on Eminem’s “Revival” album.

“The reason I love Eminem is, number one, I think he’s a lyrical genius, I think he’s one of the best that ever did it,” Pink told the Guardian. “I think he’s funny as sh-t. I don’t think he believes in any of the sh-t he says. Otherwise, why would he respect a woman like me? Which he does.”
