Nas drops the “War Against Love” video.
After the visual for ‘No Bad Energy‘ last month, Nas returns with another video, this time for his song called ‘War Against Love‘. The track appeared on his latest ‘The Lost Tapes 2‘ album.
The video, directed by Jason Goldwatch, is a compelling visual collage that features Nas performing the track alongside a variety of juxtapositions, including side-by-side videos of mushroom clouds and blooming flowers, and a photo of Olympic track star Wilma Rudolph crossing the finish line next to a Civil Rights-era photograph of police chasing two black teenagers (the same one famously used on the cover of the Roots Things Fall Apart). The film also includes some unusual choices, such as a drawing of Stevie Wonder next to a notorious police sketch of the Unabomber Ted Kaczynski and images of President Donald Trump and Eddie Murphy’s SNL character Buckwheat both making “OK” signs.
