Lil Durk drops the ‘Die Slow’ video.
After giving us the visual for A Boogie Wit da Hoodie assisted ‘U Said‘ in August, Lil Durk returns with some new material as he drops the official video for his song called ‘Die Slow‘ which features 21 Savage. It appeared on Lil Durk’s latest ‘Love Songs 4 The Streets 2‘ project.
“When I make music, I wanna be ahead of my time .. how the culture going right now — a lot of people dying. So it’s like, I just had that mentality and just put it in a song,” Lil Durk shared during his recent mini-documentary The Making of Love Songs For the Streets 2, breaking down the purpose, themes and overall creative direction of his latest studio project. “I want to relate. I don’t want to just rap and go to the next album. I really want you to feel it and call me and be like, ‘Man, this is getting me through the day.’ … It’s like real moody music. My message is just showing people how I came from nothing.”
Love Songs 4 the Streets 2 opened at number 4 on the US Billboard 200, selling 4,000 copies of the pure record in its first week and earning 44,000 album-equivalent equivalents. Lil Durk’s debut US top-five record was this one. The 16-track album also had 52.7 million on-demand audio streams in total that week.
