Kanye West drops the ‘Follow God’ video.
Kanye West continues releasing new material as he drops the official video for his track called ‘Follow God‘ which was shot at his huge, 4000 acres plus property in Cody, Wyoming.
“My dad came to visit me at one of our ranches in Cody, Wyoming. He talked about his love for fishing, and how he would like to come here in the summers,” reads a statement Kanye West posted to the end of his “Follow God” vignette and shared via Twitter. “It took me 42 years to realize that my dad was my best friend. He asked me, ‘How many acres is this?’ I told him 4000. He replied with these three words: ‘A black man?’”
“Now I’m letting you know what Jesus has done for me,” Kanye West shared with Zane Lowe prior to the arrival of his latest LP, opening up about Jesus Is King’s themes and narrative for an exclusive Beats 1 interview. “I’m no longer a slave. I’m a son, now, a son of God. I’m thinking of something I wanna say out loud—Christian innovator. When you’re thinking about the church—because it has to stand on the word so hard—it loves to be extra traditional to the point of blocking innovation.”
The track appeared on his latest ‘Jesus is King‘ album. Watch the video below which also features a cameo from Kanye’s Father Ray West.
