Joyner Lucas drops a new song ‘ISIS’ featuring Logic.
After giving us ‘Devil’s Work‘ earlier this month, Joyner Lucas is closing in on his upcoming album ADHD as he decided to drop another new song on the album. Joyner Lucas teams up with Logic for a brand new song and video called ‘ISIS‘.
Joyner Lucas and Logic are dressed in US Army attire as they spit in the desert with a battalion of troops in the video for the song, which was released Thursday afternoon (May 23) as promised. It’s appropriate for music that sounds like it’s about to go to war. The music is set at a midtempo loaded with synthesisers and hi-hats that build a trap-like beat and is drenched in powerful 808s. The two rappers spit braggadocious bars about making it famous in the face of all the detractors. The song is the third single from Lucas’ forthcoming ADHD album, following the previously released “I Love” and “Devil’s Work.”
Bobby Tarantino contributes some brutal bars of his own. The rapper Logic raps,”Me and Joyner need a couple hearses (Woo!)/Double homicide, kill the beat and the verses/Everybody livin’ on the surface/But we came from the underground, yeah, we deserve it,”
Joyner and Logic have had a public rivalry since Joyner dissed Logic on his remix of Future’s “Mask Off” two years ago. While Joyner had some negative things to say about the former XXL Freshman, it appears like things are now back to normal.
Earlier last month, the previously supposed ADHD edit “Devil’s Cut” received a striking church-set video. The song’s lyrics depict Lucas debating with a higher force regarding the tragic deaths of Nipsey Hussle, Michael Jackson, Eazy-E, XXTentaction, and others.
With 39,000 album-equivalent units, including 10,000 album sales in its first week, ADHD debuted at number ten on the US Billboard 200. It’s Lucas’ first top-10 album in the US.
Most recently, he engaged in a public spat with Tomi Lahren, reminding everyone last week that she is neither “logical or understanding on any level.”
