Joey Badass drops visual for “Land of the Free”.
Joey Badass returns with new material as he drops the official visual for his track titled “Land of the Free” which was released after the inauguration in January.
It will appear on his upcoming ‘AABA (ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$)‘ album, which is all set to release next month on April 7th.
With 51,000 album-equivalent units, of which 28,000 were pure album sales, All-Amerikkkan Badass opened at number five on the US Billboard 200. Schoolboy Q, J. Cole, Kirk Knight, Meechy Darko, Styles P, and Chronixx all make cameo appearances on the album. Joey Badass and Jonny Shipes, together with 1-900 as an assistant producer, were in charge of overseeing the album’s production.
There is a lot of powerful and emotive imagery in the pictures. They locate Joey in the American prairies, carrying a US flag with stars and stripes sewn with paisley to resemble a gang bandana, while police officers shoot numerous ethnic minorities. The video finishes with a burning cross surrounded by Ku Klux Klan members and individuals hanging from a noose, similar to Kodak Black’s “Tunnel Vision” visuals from last month.
