The first-time collaborators spent months scratching their brains, attempting to come up with the right drop for ToryLanez’s “Miss You,” but it wasn’t until they quit overthinking the process that they saw the light. Cashmere Cat, Major Lazer, and Tory Lanez join forces for a new collaboration called “Miss You” which they have been teasing for a few weeks. The track is debuted today on Zane Lowe’s show on Beats 1.
Cashmere and Diplo collaborated for the first time on “Miss You,” however the Norwegian Cat has long been a fan of Diplo and Major Lazer. He’s also worked with Lanez since the beginning of his career, so involving the R&B singer was a no-brainer. The song was originally intended for Lanez’s future album, which is how producer Benny Blanco was brought on board. Fans may be even more astonished to learn that Blanco enlisted Ed Sheeran’s assistance in writing the lyrics.
