A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie continues releasing new material as he releases the official video for his hit collaboration with Kodak Black called “Drowning“. The song appeared on his debut album ‘The Bigger Artist‘.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is Killing it right now, and after releasing his highly anticipated debut album last week, the video for his hit single “Drowning” is here. The video begins with the Bronx rapper leading viewers underneath the surface of a body of water before cutting to a robbery scene. As the melodic piano arrangement of “Drowning” begins, a muffled audio clip of the news report. Before the New York rapper appears on the screen to deliver the chorus, a black grand piano and a chain with the words “A Boogie” float in the ocean.
“Wrist so icy, wonder why she likes me, b***h I’m drowning/ In water, I just bought a Cuban, dipped it in a fountain/ Everywhere I go it’s a light show, I’m surrounded/ Bust down, bust down, bust down, bust down, bust down, bust down, bust down, b***h I’m drowning,” he raps underwater as all his possessions, from his “icy.
While Kodak Black is absent from the video (despite being included on the original track), his verse is compensated with a high-action heist scenario in which A Boogie and one of his associates bring out the heavy weapons while stealing additional jewels from a shop. In a false broadcast at the crime scene, a news reporter also emerges, describing the heist.
Last week (29 September), A Boogie’s new album The Bigger Artist was dropped and the hip-hop community’s high praises have so far been met. The 2017 XXL Freshman worked hard year-round and is now on his Bigger Artist Tour.
