Nas shares visual for “Michael & Quincy”.
Nas continues putting out new material as he now releases the music video for his song titled “Michael & Quincy”. The track is off his new Hit-Boy collab album “King’s Disease 3” which earned him a record 16th top 10 Billboard 200 debut album.
Subtle homages to the great icons the song is titled after are interspersed between clips of Nas, such as a brief clip of Michael Jackson doing his famous silly walk on a scratchy tv screen. “Nasty like Mike on the vocals, I overdub it / Bouncin’ off the wall, always startin’ somethin,’” Nas raps. “Behind the scenes of the “Thriller” video, big budgets / Moonwalkin’, smooth criminal talkin.’”
“We easin’ on down the road for the third win / Who’s bad? It’s up and it’s stuck, feel the whirlwind / Like young Quincy Jones, stuck outside the club / ‘Til Ray Charles snuck him in, ah, to be young again / But right now, it’s like I got the power of a hundred men / Nas and Hit like Michael and Quincy on the run again,” he raps.
