Kodak Black shares a new track “Haitian Scarface”.
Following the release of the “Usain Boo” music video this week, Kodak Black unleashes more new material. This time the Florida rapper releases a brand new single called “Haitian Scarface” which arrived with an accompanying visual.
Kodak alleges in “Haitian Scarface” that law enforcement targets him frequently due to his success. He also incorporates some vocal samples from the Al Pacino-starring movie at the opening and finish of the track, adopting a Tony Montana character to assist him to make his point. He also tells the audience about his problem and admits that he has been using Percocets every day to help him deal with the stress of living a high-profile existence.
“They tryna paint a picture of a ni**a like I got a problem / Cracker tried to lock the ni**a up soon I touched down in Broward / Gotta take the wrap off the Maybach ’cause I don’t wanna be followed / They already know it’s me, can’t roll in peace, I ain’t tryna be bothered,” he raps.
The rapper was arrested last week at a traffic stop in Fort Lauderdale, where the cops found 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash in his car. After being released on a bail, he took shots at the Police Officer who took him in the custody.
Back for Everything arrived at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in March, giving Kodak his fourth top ten albums on the list, following Painting Pictures, Project Baby 2, and Dying to Live in 2017.
Additionally, Kodak has been featured on a number of songs by other musicians, including “Silent Hill” by Kendrick Lamar, “Slidin'” by Jason Derulo, and “Up N Stuck” by 22Gz.
