Kendrick Lamar unleashes the official visual for “N95”.
After teasing it yesterday, Kendrick Lamar has released the music video for his song called “N95”. It is the second track off K. Dot’s new fifth studio album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers“, and is produced by Jahaan Sweet, Boi-1da & Sounwave. The video is directed by Dave Free & Kendrick Lamar himself.
“The world in a panic, the women is stranded, the men on a run / The prophets abandoned, the law take advantage, the market is crashin’, the industry wants / Ni**as send bi**hes to sleep in a box while they makin’ a mockery followin’ us / This ain’t Monopoly, watchin’ for love, this ain’t monogamy, y’all gettin’ f**ked,” he raps.
The video begins with the words “THIS SH*T HARD” scrawled over a beach, as a small child sees Lamar stand on top of the waves, clad entirely in white. Kendrick is then seen sitting at the piano, fleeing from a group of men, and driving a car with Keem in the rear.
At 2:24, Keem even kisses his big cousin, eliciting a hilarious reaction from K-Dot. After a skateboarder—credited as Tyshawn Jones in the YouTube description—shows off a few other manoeuvres, the footage concludes with “THIS SH*T HARD” taking over the screen once more, just as it started.
