JID shares “Kody Blu 31” visual.
JID continues the promo run for his new project as he now releases a music video for his song titled “Kody Blu 31”. The visual is directed by Raven B. Varona, that shows the Dreamville rapper helping his family move into a newly purchased home.
“And as I lay myself to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep / The pressure makes me, the journey takes me / To places where history can’t stop or break me / You know it rains for somethin’, you know the pain’s for somethin’ / I hope a change is comin’, just keep on swangin’ on,” he raps.
The track is off his new album “The Forever Story” which featured Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, Kenny Mason, Ari Lennox, EarthGang, 21 Savage and more.
The Forever Story is an introspective keep looking back at JID’s life, from playing college football to falling into rap celebrity. It has cameos from 21 Savage, Ari Lennox, Baby Tate, Earthgang, Eryn Allen Kane, Johnta Austin, Kenny Mason, Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, Ravyn Lenae, and Yasiin Bey. With its beautiful sound and tongue-twisting raps, it is already being hailed as a candidate for “album of the year.” This release is unlike any other in terms of modern rap.
