ASAP Rocky shares visual for “Sh*ttin Me”.
A few days ago, ASAP Rocky made his return to music with a new song “Sh*ttin Me” as part of the soundtrack to the video game Need For Speed Unbound. The rapper has unveiled the official music video which is directed by Grin Machine.
In the crazy video, ASAP references his recent viral Rolling Loud Mosh Pit meme, 1989 dark comedy Weekend at Bernie’s and more.
Rocky reenacted the viral event from September in the Grin Machine video when he was seen in footage trying to flee the altercation in the middle of a huge crowd at the 2022 Rolling Loud New York.
Rocky is twisted on the floor in an empty room while the music is silenced, unable to stand up. His pals show up, examine his heartbeat, and then carry his dead body through the streets. Every chance they have, people continue to videotape everything. By the conclusion, a 3D ASAP Rocky has taken his place, and the frenzied masses are oblivious to the change.
“On your way to Canal, drip it or drown, thick women shout / Fast forward a few months, fast forward a few thou’, you flooded it out / I’m runnin’ up miles, they runnin’ around, I figured it out / From runnin’ your mouth, bust open your head and take it to trial,” he raps.
“It has been a pleasure getting to be a creative collaborator with EA on the new Need for Speed game,” he said in a statement. “’Sh*ttin’ Me’ serves as the lead track from the game soundtrack and with so much excitement around it, it was only natural to also do a music video. Grin Machine did a great job paying homage to the game collaboration with AWGE with the fun wacky aesthetics, and shout out to krash and hec for the music as always.”
