Lil Baby performs at Grammys 2021.
One of the hitmakers in Hip-Hop right now, Lil Baby was also among the performers who took the stage earlier tonight at the 63rd annual GRAMMY Awards. He performed his last year’s track called ‘The Bigger Picture‘ for which he was joined by Killer Mike and Tamika Mallory.
His piece began with an overhead shot of the actor and activist Kendrick Sampson sleeping in a vehicle outside a storefront as two police officers approached, a reference to Rayshard Brooks’ 2020 police killing. Later in the show, activist Tamika Mallory gave a statement in front of a throng of protestors in the bleachers. “We demand justice, President Biden,” she added. We don’t require allies; rather, we require accomplices.”
And as Lil Baby walked the streets just outside the Los Angeles Convention Center, he came face to face with his final guest: Killer Mike, who delivered his verse from Run The Jewels’ “Walking in the Snow” (off the duo’s 2020 album RTJ4) in front of dozens of microphones, much like he did during his performance at the Grammy Awards.
