Jack Harlow performs at the ‘Tiny Desk’ concert.
After giving us EST Gee assisted ‘Route 66‘ music video a couple of days ago, Jack Harlow took part in NPR’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series. The Louisville, Kentucky MC performed a set of 6 tracks which included songs like ‘Rendezvous‘, ‘Funny Seeing You Here‘, ‘Same Guy‘, ‘Whats Poppin‘, and more.
“It’s been a long time since I had a chance to perform and I’ve never done it like this,” said Jack Harlow. He took out his smash hit “Whats Poppin,” which garnered the rapper his first Grammy Award nomination for greatest rap performance this year, and put a spin on it that could excite up a whole arena of fans, after checking in with his crew to see if they could vibe to just one more song.
“21C/Delta” and “Funny Seeing You Here” are fan favourites that follow “Rendezvous.” Then he switches from “Same Guy” to “Creme.” “Creme” sets the tone for Harlow to perform “ONCE MAY COMES” from his breakout mixtape Sweet Action for his loyal followers. Harlow, of course, ended his show with the classic single “What’s Poppin’.”
Jack Harlow continues to add to his debut album by releasing more tracks, in addition to serving as the inspiration for his NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert. Harlow incorporates a Louisville link into the latest track by having EST Gee contribute a line to “Route 66.” He also released a video for the song, which depicts the two natives taking over their community.
