Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow teamed up at the 2022 Grammys.
Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow continue their bonding at the 64th annual Grammy Awards. The Georgia born “Old Town Road” hitmaker kicked off his performance at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with his song called “Dead Right Now” in a black glittery outfit before breaking into the song itself, in front of a gigantic silver bust of his skull, after a montage of tweets and news clips regarding the uproar surrounding his “Montero” video. The rapper then changed his clothes to perform his hit song “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” The song was nominated for Best Music Video, Record of the Year and Song of the year.
The 22-year-old then continues his performance in the third, Michael Jackson-inspired outfit. He brought out Jack Harlow to perform their Hot 100 #1 hit song “Industry Baby“. The song was nominated in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category but lost to Kanye West’s “Hurricane” featuring The Weeknd and Lil Baby.
Lil Nas X has performed at the Grammy Awards before, and this wasn’t the first time. He made his stage debut in 2020 when his song “Old Town Road” catapulted him to fame. For a unique performance of the country-rap crossover, he was joined by viral phenomenon Mason Ramsey and K-Pop sensations B.T.S.
